SPORTS FACILITY USAGE
UTech, Jamaica’s sporting facilities accommodated
various sporting and non-sporting activities by internal
and external users. However, the level of usage was
affected by drought conditions and infrastructure work
taking place on the Papine campus. A major challenge
was lack of adequate funding to address maintenance
and repair needs. Notwithstanding, revenue of
approximately $4.5 M was generated from the rental of
the facility.. A total of 195 applications were received
for the use of the various areas of the sports facilities.
Closure of Swimming Pool
