Scholarships and Bursaries
The upward trajectory presented by the trend analysis in figure 1.2 (below), points to consistent growth in
the scholarship portfolio, with noticeable increases since 2012; in fiscal 2014/15 close to $134 Million Dollars
($133,908,630.70) was donated by 126 public and private sector donors; an increase of $20.1 Million (18%). From
this fund, scholarships and bursaries benefitted One Thousand Three Hundred and Eighty-eight (1388) students
from across the University’s eight Faculties/Colleges (see table 1.2 for details).
