University of Technology, Jamaica Re-approved as a CIPS Study Centre to Offer Procurement Qualifications
The Caribbean Procurement Training Programme (CPTP) has approved the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Ja) to continue offering the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Procurement Qualifications to Procurement Specialists across the region until November 2025. Annual monitoring of the delivery of the CIPS qualification will be carried out by CIPS Professional Standards and Regulation Team.
UTech, Ja will deliver the following certificates:
- Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations
- Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply
- Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply
- Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply
UTech, Jamaica was previously awarded the contract by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the World Bank in 2016, following a rigorous competitive process led by the consultancy arm of the College of Business and Management and the School of Graduate Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship (SGSRE).
The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is the premier global organisation serving the procurement and supply profession. Dedicated to promoting best practice, CIPS provides a wide range of services for the benefit of members and the wider business community.
The CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply is ideal for those who have previous business experience or qualifications in procurement, purchasing or supply chain operations.
