by USAID, with participation by our faculty, members
of administrative staff and students, helped to raise
awareness about human rights and respect for
everyone regardless of their status and standing.
I want to emphasise these initiatives which support
our core values because I am convinced that UTech’s
lasting success rests as much on readying our
graduates to assist in building social capital as in
building bridges or robots or computer software. Each
of my predecessors has endorsed the vision to produce
‘complete’ graduates - academically qualified, culturally
confident, socially competent, global citizens, who
are not just work ready, but capable of contributing to
development anywhere in the world. I believe that the
future looks bright.
