Message from the Associate Vice President, Advancement (with responsibility for Alumni Relations)
This is the corporate Alumni Relations page of the University of Technology, Jamaica, (UTech, Ja), formerly, the College of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST). As Associate Vice President, Advancement (with responsibility for Alumni Relations), I am happy to welcome you to our web page. We promise to use this medium to improve communication to and among UTech, Ja alumni and friends across the globe – an activity which I am sure will foster greater unity among the groups and facilitate growth and development individually and collectively.
UTech, Jamaica's Alumni Relations is facilitated through the Alumni Relations Office, a department of our University. The Alumni Relations Office is the main point of contact between the University and its Alumni Community. The Alumni Relations Office also supports the network of Alumni Affiliates i.e. the Alumni Association, UTech, the Alumni Chapters and the Alumni Shared Interest Groups (SIGS).
Stick to the UTech Family
With your support, we can expand the services of the Alumni Association, Alumni Chapters and Alumni Shared Interest Groups to facilitate among other things, opportunities for your personal development, networking and real fun. We want you to take advantage of the resources available to help you succeed in life not just in Jamaica, but on the world stage as well. We not only want you to leave with a UTech, Ja certificate, we want to help you make it work for you to become more fulfilled individuals as we help to open doors/opportunities for you which would otherwise be inaccessible. Join the Alumni Association, an Alumni Chapter or an Alumni Shared Interest Group today. Be an active member of the UTech, Ja Family.
An Opportunity to Give Back
Like most universities worldwide, UTech, Ja needs your support to improve and expand its services to the community. We encourage you to embrace the opportunity to participate in national development by educating our people and equipping them with the requisite skills and training facilitated by UTech, Ja. Please watch this site and other media for more information about opportunities to support UTech, Jamaica's Development Campaigns in cash and kind.
I know most of our graduates have great ideas about building this noble institution. I am available and only too happy to discuss your ideas and feedback. Please stay in touch!
