Applicants successful at the interview will need to take a psychometric test before acceptance can be considered. Registered Nurses who have completed an accredited nursing programme and are actively working in a health facility. Upon completing the programme, students must apply for the Nursing Council of Jamaica Midwifery examination to be licensed and qualified to practice as a midwife. 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and 1 other subject, preferably a Technical or science-related subject (Physics would be an asset). In addition A-level or CAPE Units 1 & 2 passes in Chemistry and 1 other subject, preferably Mathematics or Physics. A foreign language would be an asset. An interview will be required. 4 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and one other science related subject (Biology would be an asset). An interview will be required.
