Outstanding Achievements The following students from each School were awarded at the College of Business and Management’s annual Awards ceremony held on March 24, 2017 at Spanish Court hotel. y y Lecturer and coach, Ms Beienetch Watson and the four students: Nichell Morgan, Tamika Beckford, Brianna Johnson and Wayneish Brown, for winning the first prize at the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) Student Colloquium held in New York during CTO’s Tourism Week, June 1-4, 2016 with their presentation titled: Transforming Rural St. Andrew through the Development of Agrotourism: The case of Clydesdale. y y Chef Khalil Campbell was selected by the Board of the Culinary Federation of Jamaica (CFJ) to be part of the National Delegation to the Taste of the Caribbean Culinary Competition 2016 was held between in Miami from June 6-11, 2016. y y Case study titled “Island Grill revisits International Expansion” submitted by lecturer Mrs Rosalee Sawyers was accepted for presentation at the North America Case Research Association on October 6-8, 2016 at Harrah’s Hotel in Las Vegas. y y Dr. Gaunette Sinclair-Maragh, head SHTM presented at the 6th Advances in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing and (l-R) Mrs. Vanetta Skeete, Lecturer, School of Business Administration (SOBA) presents Danielle Richards with the SOBA Student of the Year Gleaner Company sponsored Award; Chef Karl Thomas, Chef Technologist, Lillian’s Restaurant presents Ashley Reid with the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) Most Outstanding Culinary Student award and Joan Duncan School of Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership (JDSDEEL) Student of the Year awardee, Rowen Johnson accepts his award from Mr. Prince Graham-Haynes, Lecturer, JDSEEL.
